YOUNGSTERS across Bromsgrove will be kept busy with a host of activities taking place at Artrix.

On Sunday (February 16), The Sooty Show comes to the arts centre.

The nation's favourite bear, Sweep and Soo will be at the School Drive venue with TV partner Richard Cadell trying to keep the tenacious trio out of trouble.

It is Sooty's birthday party and things don't go to plan - Sooty and Sweep get messy baking the birthday cake and Soo struggles to find what dress to wear. This spectacular mix of music, magic and mess is suitable for all ages.

Performances are at 11am and 2.30pm and tickets are £12 (£10 concessions) and £38 for a family ticket (two adults and two children or one adult and three children).

Then on Monday (February 17) The Teasel Theatre Company bring Grisly Tales From Tumblewater to the studio.

The show, suitable for those eight and over, features a determined orphan, a satchel full of spine-chilling stories and a whole lot of rain.

It is described as Charles Dickens meets Roald Dahl via Horrible Histories with laughs, frights and live music.

Tickets are £10 (£8 concessions) and, for more on the show, which starts at 7pm, visit

Also, throughout the week, from Monday to Thursday (February 17 to 20), there will be screenings of Walking With Dinosaurs at 2.30pm.

Those watching will see and feel what it was like when dinosautd ruled the Earth.

It has been directed by Barry Cook and Neil Nightingale and features the voices of Justin Long and Tiya Sircar.

Tickets are £6, £5 for the over 60s and £3 for accompanied children under 16.
