NORTHFIELD Town's under 11s football team has benefitted from a £500 donation from Rubery firm Lean Recruitment Enterprise (LRE).

The youngsters have bought equipment and a new kit with the cash, which was awarded under LRE's Grassroots Scheme.

Those who use the company for recruitment can nominate clubs for funding and all the company asks is that, in return, the club is mentioned to those involved with the clubs.

Managing director Darren Murphy said it was the company's way of giving something back to the community.

"We have all been involved with grassroots sport and we know how these clubs struggle so it's great we can help out," he added.
