YOUNGSTERS from the Plus 2s group at St Stephen’s Church in Rednal took part in a variety of activities to celebrate Chinese New Year.
The children dressed up in costume, enjoyed noodles, rice and prawn crackers, tried their hand at using chop sticks and made Chinese hats, dragons, masks, decorations and zodiac wheels.
They were also told the Chinese New Year story about the animals race, took part in a traditional lion dance and were given a lucky red bag and pretend sparkler to take home with them.
Manager Julie Kite-Lightfoot said: “It was a very enjoyable week which introduced the young children to different cultures and celebrations.”
