YEAR four children from Finstall First School dressed up as evacuees as part of their topic on the Second World War.

As part of the activity, they were visited by Auntie Doris who showed them items from the era, including toys, household equipment, clothes and photographs.

Year four co-ordinator Bernadette Eccles said: “The teachers were pleased that all the children participated enthusiastically and that they experienced a snapshot of children’s lives in the Second World War.”
