A BROMSGROVE man pleaded guilty to the possession of a class A and class B drug at Redditch Magistrates Court on Monday (February 3).
Tyrone Lee Clarke, 38, of Worcester Road, was charged for the possession of 0.7grams of cocaine and the possession of 4.3grams of amphetamine.
The court heard, on August 28 last year, the former heroin addict was pulled over by the police, during a routine stop.
The prosecution said officers thought the defendant was acting nearvously and noticed he was messing with the waist band of his trousers.
After searching Clarke and his home he was found to have around £7 worth of cocaine and £30 worth of amphetamine.
The defence said the substances found were in small amounts and were for personal use.
He added at that time Clarke had been in an unstable position but had since changed for the better.
The court was told Clarke was voluntarily undergoing a Drug Rehabilitation Requirement and had also found somewhere to live which had given him stability he had not had for a long time.
The defence told the court Clarke had also been keeping up with payments towards his current fines.
The magistrates said they were pleased he had been making progress, impressed he had been maintaining his payments and encouraged him to carry on.
They gave him a six-month conditional discharge and ordered him to pay a £15 victim surcharge.
