Woman named in Hanbury murder investigation

THE VICTIM of the murder in Hanbury on Thursday (January 30) has been named as 43-year-old Karen Wild.

The police and paramedics were called to School Road in Hanbury, where Mrs Wild lived, at 4.35pm after reports of a woman having serious stab wounds.

Unfortunately, despite the paramedics' best efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 22-year-old man, also from Hanbury, appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court this morning (Saturday) after being charged with murder, in connection with the incident.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Worcester Crown Court on Tuesday (February 4).

An inquest was opened and adjourned today (Monday) by Worcestershire Coroners Service.
