A THEATRE group is looking for an actor to take up the role of Owen Newitt in its production of The Vicar of Dibley - a part played on TV by Roger Lloyd-Pack who passed away earlier this month.
All and Sundry will be taking to the stage at the Palace Theatre in Redditch in March to perform the show about a woman vicar who takes up her position in a small village where residents are adverse to having a female member of the clergy.
The company is hoping someone will take on the role as a fitting tribute to one of Britain’s best-loved actors, whilst having fun at the same time.
The role is suitable for a man over 50 who is prepared to talk about his toiletry habits, dubious personal hygiene and dodgy farming practices all in a colourful country accent. Performances take place from March 19 to 22 and rehearsals are every Tuesday and Sunday.
Anyone interested should call director Mike Jeffrey on 07841 011250 for more information.
