RESIDENTS wanting a taste of the Black Country can go along to a special themed evening in Bromsgrove next Friday (January 24) to raise funds for the civic head's nominated charities.
The event, at the Spadesbourne Suite, Burcot Lane, at 7.30pm, will feature entertainment from Just Aynuk and David Bartley.
Alan Smith, who performs as Just Aynukis, was one half of legendary Black Country comedy duo Aynuk and Ayli and David is a Tipton poet who will be 'spinning his yarns'.
There will also be traditional Black Country cuisine, including faggots and peas and vegetarian faggots, along with scampi and chips.
A charity raffle will also be held to boost the coffers of the designated charities - Pilgrim Bandits and Afasic.
Civic head and host for the evening, Coun Helen Jones, said: “Come and join us in celebrating some of our finest local culture - enjoy some food, be entertained and above all help raise money for good causes too.”
For tickets, which are £16 per person and are available on a first come, first served basis, call Sharon Chaplin on 01527 881484.
Party bookings are welcome and those who go along should bring their own drinks.
