ARMED robbers fled with a large amount of cash after bursting into the office of a Bromsgrove company and threatening one of the workers with a screwdriver.
The incident happened between 5.25pm and 5.42pm on Friday (January 10) at the firm on the business park off the Buntsford Park Road, Aston Fields.
The man who was working there at the time was confronted by the three raiders who were all 6ft tall, slim and wearing black coats with hoods up to cover their faces. One of them had a screwdriver and the man was ordered to lie down on the floor while the trio took the cash from the office.
He was forced to open safes and more bags of money were taken from them. And they then made him hand over his wallet, which contained bank cards and keys, before locking him in the building and making their escape.
Luckily he was not hurt during the incident and was able to raise the alarm straight afterwards.
Det Sgt Ed Slough, from North Worcestershire CID, said: "The firm involved is quite close to a truck drivers’ parking area and it may be that the robbers were seen acting suspiciously beforehand or getting into one of more vehicles as they fled the scene.
“If you were in that area and saw or heard anything suspicious please don’t hesitate to come forward and let us know.”
Witnesses or anyone with information should call detectives at North Worcestershire CID on 101, quoting the incident reference 494-S-100114.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
