GRITTERS will be out this evening as road temperatures dip below freezing overnight.
The highways teams are set to go out on primary routes from 7pm, with forecasters predicting a risk of frost and icy patches.
Motorists are being urged not to assume roads have been gritted and to alter their driving to the conditions, never assuming it is safer to travel at normal speeds and allowing extra braking distance.
