TWO SUBARUS were taken after two car key burglaries in Bromsgrove district in just four days.
The first, in Carlyle Road, Aston Fields, happened at some point between 11.30pm on Boxing Day (December 26) and 7.20am last Friday (December 27).
The raiders forced the back door to gain access and stole the car keys to a red Subaru Impreza. That, which had the registration DG08 FDW, was then taken from the driveway. They also took a sat nav, hands free kit, two holly wreaths, a pair of Oakley limited edition sunglasses, waterproof jacket, hard hat, work boots, a high visibility coat and vest, sportswear including trainers, tracksuit bottoms and shorts and a £400 Pentax SLR digital camera. That was in its case and contained sentimental photographs taken of the victim's young son over Christmas.
The second burglary saw a silver Subaru Forester with the registration BN55 UAY taken.
That happened after the keys were stolen from a house in The Willows, Hollywood, between 10pm on Saturday (December 28) and 7am on Sunday (December 29).
It is thought the thieves could have got in through an unlocked door.
Det Con Tony Flannagan of West Mercia Police said: “We are appealing to people not to leave valuables in sight of doors or windows within their homes, or in their vehicles.
Witnesses or anyone with any information about either burglary or the whereabouts of the stolen vehicles should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
