Large amount of cash taken in distraction theft at Bromsgrove toy shop

CASH was stolen from the till of a Bromsgrove toy shop during a distraction theft.

The incident at Hoiti Toyti at last Tuesday (December 17) when two men entered the shop shortly after 5.30pm.

One of them asked the woman working there for help in selecting some Christmas presents at the back of the shop.

When she got back behind the till after they had left, she found a large amount of money in notes had been taken.

Both men were in their 40s. One of them was over 6ft tall with short hair and the other one was shorter with dark hair.

The taller one wore a grey cardigan or jacket and spoke with a southern accent.

The shorter one wore a dark jacket and jeans.

Anyone with any information or anyone who recognises the men from the descriptions should call PC Matthew Brittain at Redditch Police Station on 101, quoting the incident reference 524-S-171213.
