Councillor helps Bromsgrove youngsters get outdoor classroom

A NEW outdoor classroom has been officially opened at Aston Fields Middle School.

Staff and members of the governing body and school council were at an event to mark the special occasion.

Coun Kit Taylor, who devoted his divisional funds to make the project possible, cut a ribbon on the day.

Mrs Pearson, the school's business manager, helped the school council obtain funding.

As well as the councillor's contribution, cash was donated by the Duckworth Fund, Friends of Aston Fields and the West Bromwich Albion Foundation.

A spokesperson said: "The school is delighted with the success of this project and are confident that staff and pupils will take every opportunity to use the outdoor classroom."
