AN EIGHT-year-old Hagley Primary School pupil is celebrating after her festive design was chosen to be on the Christmas cards which Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid has sent out this year.

Rose Hogan had the winning entry and the runners-up were Molly Ashen, nine, also from Hagley Primary School and Lilly-Mae Mills, five, and Megan Prire, eight - they were both from Sidemoor First School.

This year was the first time both schools had entered Sajid's annual Christmas card design competition.

The MP visited the schools last Friday (December 13) to congratulate the winners and give them their awards.

Sajid said: “Every year I look forward to receiving the Christmas card entries, and the standard this year was fantastic again."

He thanked the judges and added: “A very special well done to the winner, Rose Hogan, on her festive design.”
