TWO children from Lickey Hills Primary School had their designs placed on the Christmas cards being sent out by Bromsgrove District Council representatives.

Alfie Dean and Charlotte Booth had their creations chosen by civic head, Coun Helen Jones, and chief executive Kevin Dicks after a competition held at the school.

Deputy headteacher Paula Rudd said she was very proud the school had been chosen to send in entries for the contest.

"All of the children in school produced designs either as homework or in class.

"The teachers were pleased someone else was deciding the winners, because there were so many excellent designs to choose from it was an almost impossible task to pick just two."

Youngsters from the school also performed carols at the civic head's carol concert at Bromsgrove's Spadesbourne Suite on Wednesday (December 18).
