Bromsgrove refuse collection times for the festive season

By Tristan Harris Monday 23 December 2013 Updated: 23/12 17:10

RESIDENTS are being reminded that some of the refuse collection times will be different over the festive season.

There will be no change to Christmas Eve, December 27 and new year's eve (December 31). Those who are due to have their rubbish collected on those days will have it picked up as normal.

Those whose rubbish is collected on a Wednesday will have theirs done on Monday (December 23) as the Wednesday is Christmas Day.

And those who put their bins out on Thursdays should wheel them out on Saturday (December 28) instead.

There will be no collection on new year's day so those residents due to have their bins collected next Wednesday will be visited by refuse collection trucks the Saturday after (January 4).

There are no changes to the other times but if there is snow and icy weather and crews cannot get to residents on collection day, bins should be left out and the refuse collectors will return when they can.

Residents with any queries can call 01527 881188.

The Customer Services Centre on School Drive will be closed from Tuesday (December 24) to next Sunday (December 29).

It will reopen a week on Monday (December 30).

It will also be closed on new year's day (Wednesday, January 1), but all other times are normal.

To contact the council in an emergency, call 01527 871565.
