AN EXHIBITION of textile wall art and sculpture by a Bromsgrove artist has gone on display at the town’s library.
The collection of more than 80 pieces, which will be on show until December 28, have been done by Julie Ring.
Among the works on the main exhibition wall are 30 pieces of modern textile art, which are abstracts and landscapes and include tapestries, embroidered slates, constructed felt and sequined figures.
There are also two other cabinets displaying 50 items, such as framed, original illustrations, rings, bangles, cufflinks, necklaces, brooches, quirky recycled map passports, animal characters and scarves.
All items are availble for sale, can be taken almost immediately and could provide that unique Christmas gift for someone special.
Julie is self-taught and started her art work about five years ago. She has done between ten and 12 exhibitions during that time.
She told The Standard she had already received some positive feedback from people she had spoken to while she was putting the exhibition up in the library.
