MOTHERCARE has moved to quell a rumour that the Bromsgrove branch will be closing in the new year.
We at The Standard were contacted by a resident who said he had heard the store would be shutting in 2014.
But a spokesperson for the baby clothes and equipment retailer said: "Our UK store portfolio is being constantly appraised as we look to transform our business so we can best serve our customers needs and thrive for many years to come.
"There are no immediate plans to change or close our Bromsgrove store, however, as with all our stores, this will be regularly reviewed as part of an ongoing company-wide process.”
