A GOLD watch of great sentimental value was stolen from a Hagley bungalow last Monday (December 3).

It was among a selection of items which were stolen from the property on Park Road at some time between 3pm and 9pm.

It is believed the burglar forced his way in through the back window of the home, causing £150 damage, before he went on to steal the watch, which had a black leather strap and was inscribed with the words J V Lowe BR.

Two large jewellery boxes, a pearl necklace, gold chains and an engagement ring with a diamond cluster around a larger diamond were also taken.

Other items included a watch with a gold square shaped face and a black strap, an Omega Seamaster chronograph watch, gold earrings and a Fiat box from Italy which contained several necklaces.

West Mercia detectives have been working with the West Midlands Police as they believe an attempt to sell the items has been made in the Black Country, particular in the Halesowen area.

Anyone with any information can call the police on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
