RESIDENTS will have the chance to put the ‘red’ in Redditch by taking part in a Santa Dash around the town centre in aid of the Primrose Hospice.

The event, at 10am on Sunday, December 8, gives participants the chance to run a mile-long route around the centre as many times as they can.

The charity has joined forces with Redditch Borough Council and the Kingfisher Shopping Centre for the event, which is supported by Charles Lovell and Co.

Lucy Baylis, the Primrose Hospice’s community fund-raiser, said: “You don’t have to run, you can walk, jog, even hop or skip if you like.”

Entry is £12 for adults, which includes a free Santa suit, and £5 for under-12s which includes a free Santa hat. There is also a family ticket for £30 for two adults and up to two children.

Those wanting to register can do so online at www.primrosehospice.org or by calling 01527 889796.
