RESIDENTS wanting to enjoy festive seasons from days gone by can go to Avoncroft Museum on Saturday (December 7) for the Candlelit Christmas and Craft Fair.
The event, which takes place between 7pm and 10pm, will be able to experience Christmases through the ages, including Tudor and Victorian celebrations, hot roast chestnuts, mulled wine and mince pies.
There will also be a host of other activities on the night, such as the Santa Express miniature railway, pony rides, a Victorian magic lantern show, traditional fairground rides and glass bauble blowing demonstrations.
Choirs will sing seasonal songs and Christmas carols and bands will perform traditional Yuletide music.
Among the stalls at the craft fair will be festive treats made by Bronk and Lizzie Lane of Alchemy Artisan Chocolatiers, include a bitter sweet cranberry, celebratory champagne and strawberry, an egg nog truffle dressed with fresh nutmeg and a Christmas Pudding truffle, made by blending spices and fruit into a smooth ganache,
Tickets, at £7 for adults and £5 for children, are available by calling 01527 831363.
