THIS YEAR’S annual bonfire and fireworks display at Sanders Park takes place tomorrow (Saturday).
The event, which also features a funfair and live music from tribute band Viva La Coldplay and duo Lady and the Sax, starts at 5pm.
It is being staged by Bromsgrove District Council with proceeds going to the Primrose Hospice.
Civic head Helen Jones said: “The stage is set for another blockbusting bonfire event, which has drawn sell-out crowds to Sanders Park every year for some time now.
“And with proceeds going to Primrose Hospice, the success of the spectacular benefits a great local cause - as well as being a lot of fun.”
Primrose fund-raising manager Lyn Winters added: “We have worked closely with the district council on many occasions on all sorts of projects, and it is always a pleasure working with them.
“We would like to thank them for the support over the years and wish them every success for the forthcoming bonfire.”
The Kidderminster Road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 5pm on the night for safety reasons.
Visitors coming by car are urged to use the town centre car parks.
Tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for children or £14 for a family ticket They are on sale at the Primrose Hospice shops in Bromsgrove and Rubery, from cash-only stalls in Sanders Park from 10am to 4pm and from a stall on Bromsgrove High Street from 11am to 3pm today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday).
