A KIND-HEARTED girl raised £110 for a charity which supports vulnerable young people by taking part in her own mini triathlon.
Catherine Shute completed a 6k run, a 1k swim and a 10k cycle as part of her school project The Five Ways Challenge in aid of St Basils, which she found out about through St Andrews Church in Barnt Green.
The 11-year-old also visited the supporting housing scheme in New Road to present the funds and have a look around.
Service co-ordinator Leigh Hesketh said: “This is a brilliant achievement by Catherine and we are very pleased to accept the donation.
“Raising awareness of youth homelessness is really important so we were very grateful Catherine chose to raise money for St Basils.”
