A DESIGNER holdall worth more than £1,300 was stolen by a sneak-in burglar near Bromsgrove town centre.
The Louis Vuitton travel holdall, in the company's classic gold and brown design, was taken by a thief who crept into an unlocked property in Willow Close between 9.30am and 3.15pm on Monday, October 21.
As well as the bag worth £1,380, a silver and white Apple iPad worth £400, a £200 Kindle Fire HD in a pink case, a black Toshiba laptop worth £400 and two Xbox games worth £100 were also taken.
Det Con Cheryl Jones said: "This happened during daylight hours and whoever did this was able to walk in through an insecure front door while the householder was upstairs. It’s quite likely that the bag was used to remove the other items that were stolen.
"This type of opportunist offence highlights the importance of locking doors and windows, even when you are at home. It only takes a thief a few moments to grab any valuable items in sight and make a quick exit.
"We would like to hear from anyone who saw any unusual activity around Willow Close at the relevant time and if you spotted someone carrying the distinctive designer holdall then please get in touch. Likewise, if you have been offered a Louis Vuitton bag like this or noticed one on sale locally since last Monday then we would be very interested in hearing from you."
Anyone with any information should call Det Con Jones on 101, quoting incident number 357-S-211013, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
