A SAMSUNG laptop worth £500 was stolen in a burglary in Alvechurch between 10.20am and 5.40pm yesterday (Wednesday).
Damage totalling £250 was also done to the property in Aqueduct Lane when the raiders smashed a large downstairs window to gain access.
Det Con Tony Flannagan said residents in Alvechurch, Hollywood and Wythall were being warned to be on their guard as there had been several burglaries in those areas recently.
And he urged anyone living there and those out and about, including dog walkers, to contact the police if they saw or heard anything suspicious, such as an alarm sounding or the sound of glass breaking.
“It would be really helpful if they could note the registration numbers of any suspicious vehicles,” he added.
Witnesses or anyone with any information should call DC Flannagan on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
