A BOOK by a former Bromsgrove soldier shedding light on life in the First World War has been published.
The Road to Yozgad is the second offering from author Arthur Holyoake and is taken from the detailed diary he kept during that time.
Mr Holyoake worked as a solicitor in Bromsgrove and was the Town Clerk in Droitwich.
In his book, he describes how his experiences in the prisoner of war encampment were both humiliating and disempowering.
The book, which also features illustrations and biographical details of officers mentioned in the text, is available to buy online for £15.99.
