A TOTAL of 5,559 properties were affected by a power cut in Bromsgrove which happened at 7pm on Monday evening (October 14) after fault with an underground cable.
Western Power Distribution, which is responsible for Bromsgrove's electricity supply, said 5,283 of those homes and businesses had their supplies restored within the hour.
And the remaining 276 were all back on by 9.30pm.
The Standard received reports from residents in several areas, including Charford, Aston Fields and the town centre, who were affected by the power loss.
