IRREPLACEABLE items of jewellery, one of which had great sentimental value, were stolen from a Bromsgrove home on October 4 while the owners were on holiday.
At least two burglars broke into the property in Cherry Orchard Drive, causing £1,500 worth of damage as they gained access through an outside door and an internal garage door.
They then ransacked the home while they searched for valuables and a number of jewellery items were stolen, including a white gold three strand necklace, a white gold herringbone flat link necklace, a white gold ladies ring with rows of black and white diamonds and a white Playboy watch.
Men's jewellery items, such as a gold onyx signet ring with a black stone, a Tag-Heur wristwatch with a white face and black leather strap and an oversize Guess watch, along with a black Casio Exilim digital camera without the case, were also taken.
But the most important piece to the householder was a family heirloom - an oversize green Echo watch, which had been handed down to the victim after the death of his father.
Witnesses or anyone with any information should call Bromsgrove Police on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
