THE MOTORCYCLIST who was seriously injured in a crash with a car in Wychbold on Saturday (October 18) has died in hospital.
The beige Honda CB 500 motorbike, which was travelling south towards Wychbold collided head on with a silver Jaguar X-Type travelling in the opposite direction.
The rider, a man in is 40s, was taken by ambulance to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital with multiple serious injuries but he died on Saturday evening.
Sgt Steve Hastie of the Operational Patrol Unit said: “The paramedics who attended the scene and the medical staff at the QE did all they could for the motorcyclist, but unfortunately his injuries were too severe and he died at the QE later that day.
“We spoke to witnesses at the scene, but would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision take place and has yet to speak to the police to please get in touch.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed either of these vehicles driving along the A38 in the moments leading up to the collision.”
