A DRIVER had a lucky escape when his car caught fire near the Charford Road, A308, in Bromsgrove.
It happened earlier today (Tuesday) at around 4.20pm and it is thought the driver called the fire service after they had evacuated the burning car.
The owner escaped unharmed but the car was severely damaged.
Fire and rescue crews used one hose while police officers secured the site and redirected traffic.
The cause of the blaze is not yet know.
