BROMSGROVE MP Sajid Javid has been promoted in Prime Minister David Cameron's cabinet reshuffle.
Mr Javid took up the junior ministerial role of Economic Secretary to the Treasury just 13 months ago.
And now he has been given the more senior role of Financial Secretary to the Treasury.
Mr Javid told The Standard: "“I am delighted to accept the responsibilities of becoming Financial Secretary to the Treasury, and I look forward to carrying out my new duties.
"As always, my constituents continue to come first.
"I am only able to work as a minister due to their support."
