A BROMSGROVE man in his 50s was hit by a train at the town's railway station yesterday evening (Monday).
The incident, which British Transport Police (BTP) are not treating as suspicious, happened at around 5.30pm.
It involved a freight train which was travelling from Beeston to Cardiff.
Medics from West Midlands Ambulance Service attended, but the man, who has not yet been formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A BTP spokesperson added a file was currently being prepared for The Worcestershire Coroner.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "It was close to the station and it was distressing for a number of people on the platform who witnessed the incident."
