A COUPLE in their 80s have been taken to hospital after a crash in Hagley which saw their silver Honda Civic end up on its side.
The two car collision involving the Civic and a white Transit van took place at around 4.30pm on Monday (September 2).
The pair were trapped in their car and firefighters had to cut the roof off the vehicle.
The woman was airlifted to Brmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital after suffering a head injury and the man was taken there by ambulance.
Both have since been discharged.
The driver of the van did not need to go to hospital, despite his vehicle hitting a fence after leaving the road.
PC Michael Haines said: “There were other vehicles at the scene when this happened and we are appealing for witnesses to help our investigation into the circumstances.
We would also like to speak to anyone who was driving or walking past and saw the collision or either of the vehicles there beforehand.”
Anyone with any information should call PC Haines at West Mercia Police’s Force Operations Support Team (FOST), based at Rubery Police Station, on the non emergency number 101.
