A MAN has been arrested in connection with the burglary at a Bromsgrove School boarding house.
The suspect, in his 30s, who was held on Saturday (September 7), has been released on police bail, pending further inquiries.
The incident at Housman Hall, which took place at some point between August 26 and 27, saw access being gained to a student's room via a broken window which had been smashed by having a fire extinguisher thrown through it.
A trunk was opened, although officers are unsure as to what was taken as the student has only just returned from an overseas trip and has not yet gone back to school.
A plant room door had also been forced.
PC Nicky Gingell of West Mercia Police said: “We would like to thank the media and the public for their help in this case.”
