CIRCUS skills, go karts, archery, drumming, children's activities and a climbing wall will all be on offer at the annual Blue Cross Fete and Dog Show which takes place between 12midday and 4pm on Saturday (August 31).
As well as giving visitors the chance to have a look around the centre in Wildmoor Lane, Catshill, there will be the return of the popular dog show with nine fun classes, including ‘best child handler’, ‘dog with the waggiest tail’ and ‘best six legs'. Entry is just 50p per class and rosettes and prizes will be given for first to sixth place. Judging starts at 1pm. For more on the categories, go to www.bluecross.org.uk/bromsgrovefacebook
There will be the Grand Parade in the main show ring at 12.50pm for former Blue Cross dogs and other animal activities will include birds of prey, a demonstration by the Tidbury Flyball Team and the chance for owners to have their dog's portrait taken by animal photographer Nick Ridley.
The fete will also feature stalls selling a variety of food and drink, such as savoury pastries, home-made dips, Carribean preserves, fudge, crepes and local cider.
Last year the annual fete raised £7,500 for the Bromsgrove Blue Cross and it is hoped a similar amount or even more will be raised this time around.
For more on the fete, call 0300 777 1460, visit www.bluecross.org.uk or join the centre on Facebook.
