A COUPLE accused of causing the death of their child will answer charges for the first time later this year.
Tyler Vallance and Jessica Jamie Rosamay Wiggins will appear before Worcester Crown Court on October 28 where they are expected to enter a plea.
The pair appeared at the same court on Monday (August 5) but the hearing was adjourned until a High Court Judge was available to hear the case due to the seriousness of the charges.
Vallance, aged 20 and who is currently is prison, is charged with the murder of his two-month-old daughter Isabella Vallance last year.
He is further charged with the ill treatment or neglect of a child between October 5 and December 7 last year.
Wiggins, aged 18, and of Engadine Road, Bromsgrove, is charged with causing or allowing the death of a child, contrary to section 5(1) and (7) of the Domestic Violence Crime and Victims Act 2004.
The pair were arrested on December 9 last year after their daughter received injuries at a Redditch home.
She was admitted to the Alexandra Hospital on December 7 and was then transfered to the Birmingham Children's Hospital on December 12 where she later died.
Wiggins was released on bailed following the condition she does not have any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16, without informing Children's Services, unless it is unavoidable to do so in every day life.
