A MAN was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Wythall.
The victim, in his 20s, was walking in Clewshall Lane around 10pm last night (Wednesday) when he was hit by a red Vauxhall Astra near the junction with Middle Lane.
He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with leg and other injuries where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
A man driving the Astra was also taken to hospital with a hand injury, while a woman passenger had suffered cuts.
Serg Tony Bush from the Force Operations Support Team (FOST) said: “The man who was walking has serious injuries and therefore it is important that we speak to anyone who either saw him in the area before the incident, saw the car prior to the collision or witnessed what happened."
Anyone with any information should call Rubery Police Station on 101 and quote incident reference number 189-N-270313 or Crimestoppers anonymously 0800 555 111.
