Bromsgrove powercut was down to an underground cable fault

THE COMPANY responsible for Bromsgrove's electricity supply, Westerd Power Distribution, has said the powercut this afternoon (Friday) was caused by problems with an underground cable.

Shops and houses in and around Bromsgrove Town Centre and the surrounding area were left without electricity after the incident, which happened at around 12.30pm and lasted for around an hour.
