Man charged over sex assaults on teenage girls in Northfield

A NINETEEN-year-old man is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning (Friday) after being charged with three counts of sexual assaults on teenage girls in Northfield.

The man was arrested yesterday (Thursday) and charged with sexually assaulting one of the girls in Laburnum Way on February 27, along with two others in Hawkesley Drive on March 5.

Following the incidents, police patrols have been stepped up in the area in a bid to reassure the local community.
