WITH Mother's Day in everyone's minds this weekend Bromsgrove could soon have a baby boom, thanks to a new service to help couples struggling to conceive.
The Natural Fertility Programme was launched on Saturday (March 2) and Caroline Sproule the woman behind it boasts a 100 per cent success rate with people she has advised in the past.
It is the latest offering at the Bromsgrove Allergy and Nutrition Clinic, St John's Street, and is based around vitamin and mineral deficiencies as well as food intolerance.
The 16-week programme includes regular consultations, nutrition plans, food and allergy testing, supplement programmes and pregnancy testing.
Caroline, 46, is hoping she can save Bromsgrove couples thousands of pounds by helping them conceive without having to pay for IVF treatment.
She said: "During the past 13 years I have been helping numerous couples to overcome fertility problems by adjusting both of their diets, looking at vitamin and mineral deficiencies, dehydration, poor digestion and absorption etc.
"In every case the couples conceived naturally and some went on to have two children in succession.
"We even had a lady who had no eggs. Within six weeks of the diet and supplement programme, she fell pregnant."
One Bromsgrove woman who has already benefited is 37-year-old Julie Cummings who was trying unsuccessfully to have a baby for five years.
In February 2010 she entered the clinic unsure why she could not conceive and having suffered mood swings and depression.
After the first appointment Caroline diagnosed her with a bowel condition which had effected her reproductive system.
By the third appointment bacteria levels were under control and Julie had fallen pregnant within two months her first visit.
Now baby Maisie is two-years-old.
