A THOUGHTFUL youngster who's middle name is 'Tiger' has taken the time to raise money for the animal he shares his name with.

Ten-year-old Oliver Tiger Clarke, from Meadowfield Road, Rubery, along with his friends Stephen Perks and Joe Jones, both nine, collected £50 for the World Wildlife Fund.

The trio, all from St James Catholic Primary School, wrote letters to friends and family members appealing for help for the endangered species and requesting £2 each.

Their efforts have provided a hectare of grassland to increase the numbers of pray for tigers in the Terai Arc region of Nepal.

Oliver's mum Emma said: "Oliver has taken a particularly shine to tigers, but they all very interested in nature and animals.

"£50 is a lot of money to raise at their age. They did it all by themselves."
