BROMSGROVE rock band Trigger has got back together after almost two years.
The group, which was first formed in 2003 by husband and wife Dan and Sally Trigger, last performed live in April 2011, before disbanding while Dan recorded his debut album ‘Infinite Persistence’.
The band members were itching to get back on the gig circuit and will officially launch next month, at a free event at 8.30pm on March 22 at Catshill Working Men’s Club.
They will perform a variety of rock classics, including songs made famous by Bon Jovi, Queen, Whitesnake and Guns N Roses.
The main difference with the relaunch is that Trigger will perform the classic covers and the ‘Daniel Trigger’ band will deliver the original songs.
The ‘Daniel Trigger’ band will make its debut at The Courthouse in Dudley on April 12, perfoming songs from Daniel Trigger’s Infinite Persistence album.
Improvements have been made from two years ago and the band will boast full lighting effects, lasers and smoke, as well as the music.
Trigger is made up of Dan and Sally Trigger doing vocals, guitarist Nigel Dorman, Adam Yeardley on drums, Matt Cottam on bass and Matt Wharton on keyboards.
In the mid-90s, Nigel was in a band with Dan called Full Tilt and this venture is the first time the pair have played together.
Dan told The Standard everyone was looking forward to taking to the stage again.
“We hope to see everyone on March 22 in Catshill to help us launch in style,” he added.
