Man in court on arson charges over Bromsgrove fire

A MAN has been charged with setting fire to a his own home in Bromsgrove in the early hours of Wednesday morning (February 13).

Robert Jones, 50, who lived on Worcester Road, appeared at Redditch Magistrates Court today (Thursday) accused of arson and endangering life by either intention or recklessness.

He was committed to Worcester Crown Court, where he will have a plea and case management hearing or trial on May 21.

Mr Jones was remanded in custody.
