THE MPs from Bromsgrove and Northfield were among those who voted in favour of introducing same-sex marriage in England and Wales.
After a day of debate in the Commons, both Sajid Javid and Richard Burden went with most of the house as 400 members voted for the legislation and just 175 against, giving a majority of 225.
Mr Javid said: "I know that same-sex civil marriage is a contentious issue, and I deeply respect views on both sides.
"I believe that if a couple love each other and want to commit to a life together, they should have the option of a civil marriage."
But he added: "It is important to emphasise that there is absolutely no question of churches, or of any other religious institution, being forced to host ceremonies for same-sex marriage."
Mr Burden said: “I think the basis of marriage should be the intention of the commitment made in the wedding ceremony.
"I believe that couples who love each other and want to make that long-term commitment to each other should be able to marry, regardless of their gender or their sexuality.
"Same sex couples should have the same recognition from the state as everyone else.”
This was the second reading of the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill, which was first introduced to the House on January 24.
Prime Minister David Cameron, Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Labour leader Ed Milliband all also voted in favour of the proposed legislation, which is expected to face more opposition when it goes before the Lords.
