Hi: 18° Lo:12° 7 day

RESIDENTS are being urged to take care on the roads as more snow is predicted.
Despite a fairly light dusting over the weekend, light sleet or snow showers are expected to fall until around 9pm. As temperatures drop below freezing overnight, roads are likely to ice over.
Worcestershire County Council's gritting team will be out from 6.30pm to treat secondary routes followed by primary routes. Inspectors will then by on standby to monitor conditions with the Met Office.
Highways manager Jon Fraser said: "Fortunately Worcestershire escaped the heavy snowfall that was predicted for the weekned. However due to yesterday's rain and a dusting of snow overnight roads are wet and slushy, so conditions are still slippery and even after they've been treated with grit it's always worth remembering to drive with caution and temper your speed according to the conditions."
