A STOLEN Ford Fiesta has been written off by raiders who took the vehicle after a car key burglary in Rubery in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).
The incident happened sometime after 12.30am when the thieves gained access to the house on Maple Drive through an unlocked ground floor window.
They took the car keys and a £300 Hewlett Packard laptop before driving off in the burgundy Fiesta, which had the registration number R76 HDA and was later found abandoned and written off in South Woodgate.
House-to-house inquiries have been carried out by officers investigating the burglary.
