THREE technicians at Bromsgrove’s Artrix braved freezing temperatures and snow last Thursday (January 17) to ensure the art centre’s first live National Theatre stream went ahead without any hitches.

During the showing of The Magistrate, Chris Lee, Tom Jude and Rob King, went up onto the roof to ensure the satellite dish remained in the right position for the projection equipment to receive the signal.

The high winds and snow had caused the signal, beamed from London, to be interrupted and the trio did not want to see the audience disappointed.

Rob went on several runs up and down from the roof throughout the production to ensure Chris and Tom had a constant supply of hot coffee and all went well in the auditorium.

The next Live Streaming from The National Theatre is Alan Bennett’s ‘People’, which takes place at 7pm on March 26.
