Hi: 17° Lo:10° 7 day

TELEVISION star Bobby-Cole Norris from The Only Way is Essex will officially open a new tradtional sweet shop in Rubery on Saturday (February 9).
The reality TV personality will be at Delightfully Sweet, 141a New Road, from 11am to 1pm as part of the Grand Opening, when he will be available for customers to have their pictures taken with him.
As well as the appearance from the TOWIE star, there will also be plenty of fun for all the family, including face-painting for youngsters between 2pm and 4pm and free candy floss for every purchase made during the day.
Among the many delights on offer at Delightfully Sweet are traditional favourites, such as teacakes, sweet tobacco, cough candy twists and herbals, along with candy floss, Slush Puppies, cupcakes and even fresh popcorn from the shop's popcorn machine.
There are also American imports, including Wonka Nerds and Bottle Caps, and chocolate bars, such as Baby Ruth and Three Musketeers.
Lucy and Jade, who co-own the new shop, have been delighted with the way it has been received so far by shoppers, who have flocked there to get their hands on a variety of sweet treats.
Lucy said: "We have had such an overwhelming response - it has been unbelievable.
"Even though the weather has been bad, it has not seemed to stop people getting their sweetie fix."
And Jade added: "We are really looking forward to the Grand Opening and want as many people as possible to come down and join us, meet Bobby-Cole Norris and see everything we have on offer."
Delightfully Sweet is open from 8am to 5pm Monday to Saturday.
