Hi: 23° Lo:9° 7 day

BIN COLLECTIONS are being carried out across Bromsgrove District, despite the overnight snowfall.
Extra crews are being used to help catch up on the missed collections of the last few days, so residents are being urged to leave their bins in a safe place, although, the authority said, collectors may have problems accessing side roads.
A council spokesperson said: "Refuse vehicles can weigh up to 26 tonnes and are much bigger than most household delivery vehicles, it is essential that we do not drive on roads when drivers make a judgement that it is not safe to do so.
"We would like to apologise for the disruption to waste collection services due to the poor weather."
And, she added, the situation will be assessed throughout the day.
