A MAN was airlifted to hospital on Saturday (January 26) after being run over by a tractor in Stoke Heath.

The man, who is in his 40s, suffered serious pelvic and leg injuries in the incident, which happened at around 1.10pm.

After receiving treatment at the scene, he was flown to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire's major trauma network after the air ambulance landed on the recreation ground off Hanbury Road.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said a rapid response vehicle, a land ambulance and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.
